Nursing appointments most often related to these four common situations:
- performing throat cultures
- giving immunizations
- doing weight checks on infants
- performing blood or urine tests
Remember, when you call to schedule a nursing appointment, you will not be examined by a physician or pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP), unless you schedule a doctor's appointment or PNP's appointment when you call.
If a nursing appointment only was scheduled, but you change your mind and later request a physician/PNP's appointment, then the physician/PNP will examine your child after previously scheduled patients have been seen. If you are scheduled for vaccines only, but your child is sick, then you should call before coming to the office in order to discuss scheduling a physician/PNP's visit with our staff.
