Regardless of the urgency of the problem, it is absolutely necessary to call first to schedule a sick appointment.
Walk-in appointments are strongly discouraged and may not be honored. If your child has an urgent problem, page us or call us and we will arrange an urgent appointment, but do not just show up without calling first.
The reason we cannot accept walk-in appointments is because it creates tremendous scheduling problems, and it is not fair to those who are scheduled already. We will, however, see a sick child at a moment's notice if you call first and if we determine that it is an urgent problem. In some cases, the physicians may recommend that your child be seen immediately in the emergency room if an urgent life-threatening situation should arise whereby the emergency room may be better equipped to handle the situation. These circumstances are rare.
